Raonic continues impressive clay form

Milos Raonic continued his solid showing on clay as he beat Russia's Igor Andreev in straight sets to reach the second round in Estoril.

Rising-star Raonic, who has played only two ATP claycourt tournaments in his career (the Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona) needed just 84 minutes as he eased past Andreev 6-4 6-4.
The 20-year-old, who has already risen from 156 to 20 in the world this season, will take on Portugal's Joao Sousa in the second round.
Eighth seed Juan Martin Del Potro also advanced to the second round with a hard-fought 6-2 3-6 6-3 win over Portugal's Pedro Sousa.
Del Potro is continuing his return from a wrist injury that caused him to miss much of 2010 and will face Alejandro Falla in the second round, the Colombian progressing when Pablo Andujar retired hurt at 4-6 6-1 4-4.
Sixth seed Thomaz Bellucci was another player through to the second round, the Brazilian beating Denmark's Frederik Nielsen 7-5 6-1 to set up a clash with Edouard Roger-Vasselin, who dismissed Marcos Daniel 6-3 6-1.
Federico Gil, Carlos Berlocq and Pablo Cuevas all also reached the second round with straight sets wins over Flavio Cipolla, Daniel Gimeno-Traver and Pere Riba respectively.
